The end of the week was finally here. Another boring day of school had past, but now it was time to kick back and relax. No one else occupied the house, so Kepura was free to do whatever he pleased.
Coming down the stairs into his room he dropped into the comfortable computer chair. He reclined in back and stared at the cieling for a few moments, kind of in a daze. Fumbling in his pocket, he turned on his music player to a nice mellow tune to fit his mood. It happened to be The Zephyr Song by none other than the Peppers.
Closing his eyes and settling into somewhat of a trance, he felt completely at peace with the universe. Ah...finally. I honestly didn't think I would make it through today's Bio class.
His eyes opened and darted around him when he heard something besides the musical genius that is Kiedis. Dismissing it as just hearing things, he went into meditation again.
This time, it was distinct, something was making a whirring noise. He opened his eyes again, but this time to a flickering screen. How...I didn't turn it on...did I? Bringing the long hair out of his eyes with a finger, he got up to check the computer for an explanation.
Another flash, and streams of binary code began appearing on the monitor. Kepura was in awe, he was intigued and excited by the situation. Being the computer nerd that he was, curiousity consumed him in moments like these. Another flash, and suddenly he was more concerned. He could feel the disturbance in the air, a discharge of energy.
Sparks fly, and the air in the room became too obscure to see through. He tried opening a window, but it only seemed to increase the fog inside. For a while, the cloud persisted, but eventually it faded into nothing. Very curious. What could that possible have been?
He paced around his room in thought. His movement halted when he felt a sharp pain jolting up his leg. Looking down, he saw a feathery ball on the ground. Apparently, he stepped in it, so he carefully backed away to give it some space. The creature looked up to him with big, bright eyes.
This thing...it doesn't exist in our world. The computer...could it be? Kepura's face lit up with joy. "Are you a...Digimon?"
The Puwamon chirped and cooed, hopping a little in the air happily. Kepura was too astonished to grab hold of the situation. How is it possible? No, it couldn't be. I'm dreaming, right? "Yes! I have a Digimon!" He jumped in the air, only to hear a thud on the floor.
Bending over to pick up it as well as the Puwamon, he noticed it was a foreign device, but still a little familiar. It was unmistakably similar to the Digivices from the television show. A purple ring surrounded the screen, and it was held by a purple strap. Kepura took note of the card slot on the side of the device as well.
"Fly...on...my...wind," Anthony Kiedis' voice echoed into his ears.
"I think I know what to call you," he said to the Puwamon with delight. "Zephyr will be very suiting."
