You got something about ya...Over a lush sea of green leaves, dark clouds moved in on what was otherwise a clear and sunny day. The wind howled and the leaves rustled, soil was lifted up and whisked about. A boom echoed through the land. A flash, and streaks of plasma illuminated the gray sky. Then, through the clouds, another bright light appeared. Descending through the storm was one of the guardians of the Digital World, Azulongmon. His serpentine body slithered through the air, crackling with electricity. An intimidating sight to say the least, but he wasn't here to fight. On the contrary, that was what he went to such great lengths to avoid. Usually, he wouldn't enter the domain of one of his equals, but this was a special case. Darkness was about to engulf the entire Digital World if he did nothing about it. "Dear Ebonwumon, are you here? I have come to speak with you."

In apparent response, the forest began trembling. From underneath the biggest tree came two serpent-like heads, along with four legs. The earthquake then subsided, followed by a "Yup!" and "Yah, we're here!"
Both of Ebowumon's heads yawned as he lumbered toward Azulongmon. Being the kind of Digimon who liked to sleep for long periods of time, Ebonwumon depended on other Monsters, like his Deva servants, to bring him the local news. Rare was it that his slumber was interrupted, though, and even rarer was it one of his fellow Sovereigns doing the interrupting.
"Well," the head on the right said, "now that we got our dramatic entrances out of the way, mind telling us what you're doing here?"
"Yah. What's new, Azulongmon?" Asked the left.

"Ah. My deepest apologies for disturbing you, but I'm afraid there is word of a threat to our world. Oddly enough, this threat isn't from the Digital World at all."
Ebonwumon being the oldest of the four guardians of the Digital World, it seemed only logical to inform him first. Also, discussing the matter with Zhuqiaomon and his fiery personality would have only caused trouble.
"The world of the humans is conceiving a way to destroy us all, unless of course we act now while we still can. I have something in mind, and as drastic as it may seem I think it may be our only chance. Do you know what I am referring to?"

"Humans? Now what could those munchkins do to us?"
"Lots. They practically created us; bet they could destroy us if they really wanted to."
"Aye, you're right." Ebonwumon shook both his heads sadly. He turned his attention back to Azulongmon and said, "But you say you have some sort of drastic plan. What would that be?"
"Yah. We haven't a clue you see."

Following the elder's question, Azulongmon was instilled with a bout of silence. He was just as reluctant to give up the very essence of his existance as he knew anyone else would be, but in this time of need a selfless act would be needed. Besides, nothing good ever came out of too much power.
"You're not going to like hearing this just as much as I like saying it, but I am referring to giving up what sets us apart from the rest of the Digimon below us. I mean our Digicores. By no means would we be giving up all of them, of couse, because each of us has twelve.
"Just as there are "good" Digimon and "evil" Digimon (I use quotes because I don't even like the idea of that separation because it's all relative, but you know what I mean), there are "good" humans and "bad" humans. While the humans we are worried about seek to destroy because they understand not our ways or depth, there are humans with compassion and righteousness that can help us with our strife. If we can lend our power to these humans, who through their own actions have earned the right to become Digimon tamers, then perhaps we will stand a fighting chance...
"What are your thoughts on this, Ebonwumon?"

Ebonwumon gave a low whistle. "You're a wise one to talk to us first about this. I can't imagine what that bad-tempered little Zhuqiaomon might've done."
"Yah, but it probably was just 'cause there weren't any others playing as Sovereigns."
"Quiet, you!!" Right cleared his throat. "But as I was sayin', it could be dangerous. Personally, I wouldn't mind giving up a few cores for the good of the Digital World, just as long as I know they're being put to good use."
Left nodded. "I second that, and so will the others. How will we decide the 'good' humans from the 'bad'? It can't be that easy."
